Packing for Cancun, Mexico - Bachelorette Trip Edition

This trip to Cancun is kicking off a busy season of travel for us, and I can’t think of a better way to start than by celebrating one of my dearest friends as she prepares to get married.

We’re heading to Moon Palace Cancun for a four-day girls’ trip filled with sunshine, good food, pool days, and plenty of time together. The resort is an all-inclusive, family-friendly property known for its beautiful pools, restaurants, and endless activities—making it the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

When it comes to packing, I try to keep things as simple as possible.

I usually fly out of Dallas, and the airlines I use most often are American Airlines and Southwest. Because I prefer not to check a bag if I can avoid it, I’m bringing only a carry-on and a personal item for this trip. Both airlines also offer checked bags for an additional fee if you need the extra space.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that thoughtful packing makes traveling so much less stressful. Instead of packing random outfits and hoping everything works together, I start by thinking about the activities I have planned each day.

This bachelorette weekend has the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. We’ll be spending our days lounging by the pool, trying new cocktails, enjoying the spa, and celebrating our bride-to-be.

The itinerary also includes several themed nights, so I planned my outfits around each event.

Think animal print and a fun night out. We’ll enjoy dinner at the steakhouse before ending the evening with one of the resort’s entertainment shows.

Send Nudes

This theme centers around neutral tones and a soft, nude color palette. We’ll be heading to hibachi for dinner before spending the evening at Noir Night Club.
